Rides That Are Not For The Faint-Hearted

Thrill-seekers may already have experienced these rides, but for those who are new to this, beware: these rides are so thrilling, they will get your heart thumping and adrenaline racing. And no, you won’t find them in a regular amusement park.

  • Kingda Ka, Six Flags Great Adventure
The world’s tallest and the second fastest roller coaster, with train is launched by special hydraulic launchers and the topmost point is the 456 feet drop, this ride has no competition.
  • Leap of Faith, Atlantis, Bahamas
It’s truly a leap of faith dropping from 70 feet in see through tube in water that is filled with sharks.
  • Insanity atop the Stratosphere Tower, Las Vegas
You sit on a mechanical seat arm, which extends out of the top of the tower, above 900 feet. And then you’re spun at a speed of 3 G’s, at an angle of 70-degrees.
  • Wild Gorge Swing, Wild-5
The Wild Gorge Swing is situated on top of Lehrs Falls in Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve. Riders strap into a harness and plunge themselves off the top of the gorge, which is equivalent to jumping from a 33-story building.
  • Flying Fury
A joystick gives riders control of the four-passenger miniature planes, allowing them to pull barrel rolls and rotate 360 degrees while the arms lift them to heights in excess of 120 feet.
