All-Time Best Thriller Novels

You can find many books in the thriller genre, many of them are well written and contain a good storyline. However, there are a few that have become widely known as the best in their genre. Many of them are in the catalogue on Hubbfi, which you should check out. Here are some of the all-time best thriller novels.

The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith

Many people will know this title from the movie that it was adapted from, but reading the novel adds more to the character and gives you a different perspective. Patricia Highsmith has written five novels featuring Tom Ripley, who is intelligent, yet ruthless and amoral. They are also available on Hubbfi.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Another book that was successfully adapted into a movie, Gone Girl is a twisting tale that will keep you guessing until the final page. Gillian Flynn has written other novels with this dark aspect to them, and she captures the imagination with each one.

Enduring Love by Ian McEwan

McEwan takes a love story and turns it on its head in this novel. With a heart-stopping opening to a daring rescue which leads to an obsession, this book has all the ingredients of a page-turner.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey

Arguably one of the best movies in modern history, this book was, and still is, the guide by which other thrillers are gauged. It is inspired by the experiences writer Kesey had in the 1950s as an orderly in a mental health facility. It tells the sometimes uncomfortable story of the life of those inside the facility, and their need to express themselves.
